Theatre Party to Attend Peter Schaffer’s “Equus” by Gold Coast Little Theatre on Saturday 28th April.

Annual General Meeting of Murwillumbah Theatre Company will be held on Wed 2nd May 7 pm.

MTC NEWSLETTER   January 08

 Happy New Year to everyone we have had our first meeting of the Committee to try and get the wheels grinding again for 2008.

 We are really proud to have been awarded the Tweed Shire Australia Day Award for “Arts and Cultural Achievement – Group” for 2008.  I attended the ceremony at The Tweed Civic Centre to receive this on your behalf.  It was a funny thing as I had known for quite a while we had won but was unable to tell anyone until 26 th Jan.  So I kept it secret and by the looks of the newspapers and local info sheets they have decided to keep it that way too even after the event.    So it is timely that I let the cat out of the bag.  Awards such as this do not come without the help of many supporters and I pat you all on the back, and commend all.  You can honestly say you have a share in it.

 The first event for the year is ‘Thank Goodness You Are Here” on March 8 th at 7.30.

Anyone wishing to be involved, ie back stage or as a contestant or front of house or lights or sound etc please call Bryanne on
02 6672 5554.  I will advise the date of the first meeting and rehearsal for this asap.

 The Gold Coast Arts Centre is also staging “Menopause the Musical”.  We are going as a group on Tuesday 20 th May 8.00pm tickets approx $40.00.  This was a sell out success in Brisbane and as yet the Arts Centre have not started to advertise it.  It is expected to sell very quickly when advertising commences.  So we want a reply by return from anyone who is interested in going so we can book before the publicity and while there is good seats available.  Please call Rosemary
