Becoming an MTC member
Murwillumbah Theatre Company is a community theatre which provides a valuable opportunity for diverse individuals, many of them in other professions, to have the satisfaction of being part of an active social and artistic network. All participants are volunteers and often involve individuals who have little or no background in theatre or the arts but see this as a way of giving something back to their local community.
MTC helps develop the skills, community spirit and artistic sensibilities of those involved. It can also create a place for debate, self-expression and interactivity that is important for the health of a community as well as being a way of developing skills in the many aspects of theatre work.
You don't have to tread the boards to be involved in our theatre. Our members welcome volunteers to do a myriad of fascinating theatre craft jobs from building sets, front of house, sound, lighting, marketing and much more.
